Professionally trained — Personally tailored

Food and entertaining have been an integral part of chef and owner Margie Michell's life. She received her B.S. in Dietetics and Institutional Management from Purdue University and M.Ed-Nutrition from the University of Cincinnati. Margie taught Foods and Nutrition at Washburn University for 10 years.

In 1980 Margie started a catering business while living in Topeka, Kansas, specializing in turnkey entertaining, fine dining and corporate functions.

After relocating to Little Rock, she spent two years as a manager in the dietary department at UAMS. In 1992 Margie had an idea to create a restaurant focused on the Victorian era where afternoon tea was a common practice and dining was relaxed. The Victorian Garden Tea Room was the realization of that dream and collected a substantial loyal following over the years.

Due to its success and popularity, the Tea Room has evolved into the two Victorian Garden Restaurant locations (see addresses below), both offering full service for lunch and dinner.

Lunch and Dinner

The lunch menu sets an atmosphere for that special place for lunch with a friend or business associate. In the evening, The Victorian Garden offers a varied, yet carefully selected dinner menu in a more formal atmosphere while retaining the friendliness of the lunch environment.

Ambience

From the freshness of the food to the attentiveness of the wait staff, dinner at The Victorian Garden means a memorable evening in the making. Meticulous antiques decorate the chandelier-lit restaurant while local artists renderings adorn the walls. With a maximum seating for almost 70, we have just the right mixture of coziness and comfort.

A venue for business and luncheons

The restaurant offers the perfect atmosphere for both business lunches and dinners with efficient and non-intrusive service. A custom menu can be arranged for that important dinner with clients or guests. For your convenience, lunch is served till 2:30 p.m.

As always, The Victorian Garden is a place to have that special luncheon event, bridal luncheon or shower, birthday, organization meeting, etc.
